Music - Touring 2009

B2M

B2M's music is an R 'n' B pop with a traditional kind of twist to it. The band is made up of 6 young Indigenous men who sing about the issues facing all young people such as drugs , alcohol and suicide. The lyrics in their songs come from life experience growing up in an Aboriginal community and seeing first hand the effects of drugs and alcohol on their own people.

Educating the kids of the future through their music and encouraging people to make a change in their lives is what keeps this band going. One of their first songs recorded "Mahlia" has been featured by National Broadcaster ABC as part of a program on mental health.

B2M's first tour is facilitated by Artback NT in partnership with Newmont Tanami Operations and HWE Mining. The aim of this touring sponsorship support is to offer skills and industry development to the winner in the form of a guaranteed tour of the Northern Territory in the year after the Indigenous Music Awards.
