Artback NT Arts Touring is a not for profit community based association constituted under the Northern Territory Associations Act (2004). The Association is governed by a voluntary Board of committed people from across the Northern Territory – each person brings a valuable set of skills and competencies that collectively provides us with a vibrant and experienced Board. |

Chips Mackinolty – Chair, Darwin Chips started in the Territory as an Aboriginal arts advisor in Katherine in 1981, followed by a similar stint at Mutitjulu in 1985. Has been a practising artist in the Territory for 28 years, work which included visual arts, curatorial work, management and policy. His work is held in public and private collections nationally and internationally.

Alan Murn – Vice Chair, Tennant Creek Alan is the CEO of Barkly Regional Arts based in Tennant Creek. Barkly Arts is a Key Producer within the Australia Council Community Partnerships sector and receives further Triennial Funding support from ArtsNT. As such BRA has a remit to advocate and facilitate regional arts development within the Barkly region. Through its partnership modelling and collaboration processes BRA is engaged in a wide range of arts-needs consultations and arts-based activities towards an homogenous regional arts program. Alan has Visual Arts qualifications and experience with the Visual Arts Department at The Flinders University of SA, The Experimental Art Foundation, SA, the Visual Arts Department, Charles Darwin University and recently, Manager of Julalikari Arts in Tennant Creek.

| Janice McEwen - Board Member, Darwin Janice is an arts marketing consultant whose activities include providing research, planning, audience development and communication strategies for NT arts organisations. Janice was previously the Director of Top End Arts Marketing and prior to that worked as the Indigenous Arts Marketing Officer for the same organisation and as the Executive Officer of Ausdance NT. She has qualifications in Visual Arts and Cultural Studies and long experience as a marketer in the corporate and not for profit sectors. |

Jenny Pender has been involved as Manager for Aboriginal country music artist, Warren H Williams. She has coordinated the recording of three albums, several interstate tours and many performances as well as regular tours to remote communities. Jenny worked for CAAMA (Central Australian Aboriginal Media Association) Music and CAAMA Shops as music marketer and promoter for three years, supporting many Aboriginal bands and attending festivals.

Gary Single - Board Member, Darwin Gary is a Carpenter and Joiner by trade and arrived in Darwin October 1975 to take up a position with Barclay Bros. He eventually became self employed and quickly fell into the easy lifestyle of Darwin. After accepting an offer to join the Museum and Art Gallery of the NT (MAGNT) in February 1984 as a Display Technician, Gary realised that he had found his niche in life. His time at the MAGNT included the installation of more than 250 exhibitions and an evolution into the art of Picture Framing. The year 2000 signaled his departure from MAGNT and he has continued working in the Art scene with a focus on picture framing, exhibition installation and packaging which includes specialised crate construction, gallery layout / design, lighting and display techniques. |

Juliette is a Wardaman, Gurrindji and Wagadadam woman and the co-founding director and manager of Baru Kadal, a contemporary Indigenous dance company based in Darwin and is currently employed as a consultant with the Aboriginal Health Council of WA.

Salli Cohen - Board Member, Darwin After moving from France to Darwin with her family in late 1999, Sal joined the Northern Territory Government as a senior executive in 2000. Sal has a love of both performing and visual arts. She is keen to support the development of and engagement with Territory arts and sees the invitation to be an Artback NT board member a wonderful opportunity to do just that. |

Francine Chinn - Board Member, Darwin Francine has a degree in Communications/Media from the University of Canberra and extensive experience working as a radio journalist, government public affairs officer, media producer and freelance photo-journalist.
